Description & Requirements
Ready to take your U.S. accounting career to the next level? At Accountably, you won’t just enter data – you’ll get hands-on exposure to real clients, real tools, and real growth. This isn’t a “back-office” job. It’s the first step in becoming a trusted part of a U.S. CPA firm’s extended team.
At Accountably, we don’t believe in hierarchy for the sake of it. Everyone contributes, everyone grows. Our values are built around clarity, reliability, and growth through accountability. That means you’ll be supported, mentored, and given room to grow – but the expectations will be high.
As a Staff Accountant, you’ll be responsible for executing daily accounting operations for U.S.-based clients. You’ll maintain clean books, handle reconciliations, and ensure accuracy across financial records – all while learning how real-world CPA firms operate.
In this role, you’ll:
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations (bank, credit card, payroll)
- Enter and review general ledger data
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing tasks
- Prepare reports, documentation, and internal checklists
- Learn to navigate tools like QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage Intacct
- Communicate with internal teams and senior accountants for quality reviews
Who you are:
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (U.S. experience preferred but not mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong Excel and general accounting system knowledge
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and take ownership
- Someone who thrives in structured environments and loves getting the numbers right
This role is designed for accountants who want to build a future, not just fill a position. You’ll grow fast – with the right support, the right clients, and the right expectations.
We’re not looking for perfect – we’re looking for people who care and think creatively.
